Kelly Haigh
Kelly Haigh AIA IIDA is an educator, architect, and partner at designLAB architects in Boston, Massachusetts. She works primarily with academic institutions in the programming and design of learning environments, with a particular interest in arts, libraries, and community-based design. She has also taught at numerous universities throughout New England and in her home state of Florida.
Much of Kelly's work at designLAB includes adaptive reuse of existing structures, providing her with a broad understanding of how existing buildings and sites can be transformed through design. She is a national voice on the topic of Interior Architecture, having served as National AIA Interior Architecture Knowledge Committee Chair for three years. This offers her insight into a broad range of typologies, trends, and best practices in the design industry. Additionally, she is the Leadership Co-Chair of the Boston Society of Architects’ Women-In-Design Committee, which affords her a platform to develop educational programming and advocacy at a regional level. In 2018, Kelly was awarded an AIA Young Architects Award, which is a national award honoring individuals who have shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession early in their careers.
