Bonnie Sanborn
Bonnie is a research strategist and space planner with DLR Group. She supports integrated design teams by providing evidence-based design guidelines and translational research to assist clients in developing their own guiding principles and standards. Her background as a facilitator, educator, and interdisciplinary researcher helps her connect to people and projects on multiple levels.
Bonnie’s expertise sheds light on the connections between the study of human behavior and its impact on learning, working, and social interaction. Her background in anthropology and psychology helps her see clients through a different lens, working collaboratively with them to uncover space or process needs -- and underlying motivations for creating change. Bonnie holds a Master’s in Environmental Psychology from Cornell University, an Evidence-Based Design accreditation (EDAC) from the Center for Health Design, and is certified in Social, Environmental, and Economic Design (SEED) by the Public Interest Design Institute. She sits on the Environmental Design Research Association’s (EDRA) Memberships and Partnerships committee and on the Center for Health Design’s EDAC Advisory Council.
