Robbi Cooper

I focus my time and efforts on bettering outcomes for students with Learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia. My son Ben has Dyslexia and Dysgraphia and his dedication and drive is behind all that I do for others that share his diagnosis and struggles. I am a state leader for Decoding Dyslexia Texas, a grassroots parent led organization that works collaboratively with parents, schools and districts to prepare better outcomes for student success. I am a member of the International Dyslexia Association. I share knowledge with policy makers in Washington DC as well as in our state to allow them to craft better legislation to serve students with Dyslexia who possess unlimited and many times unrecognized potential for success. I have a strong desire to help families, schools, legislators and organizations understand the strengths that these Students with Print Disabilities possess. My guiding philosophy is Access is Vital to Success. Technology that Allows Access Today Should Be Harnessed and Integrated for the Benefit of All.

Besides my efforts with Decoding Dyslexia, I serve on the advisory board for Bookshare.org I also serve as a board member with Knowbility.
