Jahmese Williams
Jahmese Williams, PhD, is the Outreach Coordinator for the Fair Play project at the UW-Madison Wisconsin Center for Education Research. She is a Los Angeles native, Spelman College alumna, and graduate of the University of California-San Diego. With years of experience as an instructor and student affairs professional working specifically with underrepresented graduate students, Dr. Williams has an extensive history of working to improve the academic outcomes of underrepresented students. Having completed her doctoral studies at UC San Diego by focusing on notions of belonging and inclusion, the Fair Play project’s goal of promoting educational equity aligns with Williams' academic, personal, and professional goals. Her contributions to the Fair Play project range from coordinating workshops locally and nationally, to assisting with the development of new iterations of Fair Play.
