Ray Jackson
Ray founded Rising Stars Academic Athletic Program in 2005. Rising Stars is a program that prepares kids for life after ball. It uses sports to expose and prepare kids for life after sports by incorporating mindfulness and other health & wellness related activities. Through the program, they strive to provide social, education and recreational opportunities for youth from diverse backgrounds so that they can become contributing positive members of their families and communities. Ray has been a HS basketball coach from Concordia to St. Andrews in the Austin area over the past 10 years. Ray was a member of the Fab Five basketball team at the University of Michigan from 1991-1995. ESPN did a documentary for their 30 FOR 30 series on the Fab Five. He played professionally in the CBA and overseas from 1995-2002.
