Margarita has deep roots in developing innovative entrepreneurship education programs and helped establish the first INCubatoredu program in 2013 at Barrington High School in Barrington, Illinois. What began as a quest to re-energize one school's business offerings is now a movement across the country with over 120 schools teaching students business by having them create their own business.
As chairperson of the Barrington 220 Educational foundation, Margarita collaborated with INCubatoredu’s co-founders in a unique public/private partnership to prototype and launch the Barrington program. In her current role, Margarita helps schools across America learn about the value of an entrepreneurship curriculum and how INCubatoredu teaches real-life skills. Margarita is a marketing and advertising veteran, with a former career at Leo Burnett Company.
