John Kania
John Kania is an assistant professor of English at Goodwin College in East Hartford, CT. He began his career in education at the elementary level teaching nearly all grade levels from preschool through grade 8 with a majority of his time spent teaching fifth and sixth grade. John is one of Goodwin College’s UDL trained Teaching Fellows, and his primary area of expertise is Developmental English. Among other conferences, John’s has presented at the New England Educational Research Organization; the Learning Assistance Association of New England, a regional affiliate of the National Association of Developmental Education (NADE); and the South Carolina Council of the International Reading Association.
