Terri Holden is a well-rounded educator. She was a secondary English teacher in both urban and suburban environments. She served briefly as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati and an assistant professor at the College of Mount St. Joseph.

Dr. Holden has been an administrator for the past 19 years. She served as assistant principal for five years in three school districts in Cincinnati. She served as principal of Norwood High School, a small Appalachian urban school district in the middle of Cincinnati, for five years. She spent six years as principal of Winton Woods High School. Winton Woods is a first-ring urban/suburban district just outside the Cincinnati city limits and is highly diverse: 85% majority minority; 72% low SES; 18% students with disabilities; and 15% English Language Learners. Twenty-five different languages are spoken in the district. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Teaching & Learning for Winton Woods.

Dr. Holden is excited about the district's work in deeper learning. Winton Woods has partnered with the New Tech Network to transition all buildings to project-based learning as the primary pedagogy over the next two years.
