Imah Effiong
Imah Effiong is the Data Strategist for the Office of School Counseling & Postsecondary Advising at Chicago Public Schools and Project Manager for Learn.Plan.Succeed., a mayoral initiative that ensures each CPS senior graduates with a concrete postsecondary plan. Before joining the counseling office, Imah supported 36 elementary and high schools on the south side of Chicago with using data to advance student outcomes and focus interventions for student growth. Imah discovered her passion for increasing access to postsecondary opportunities for youths of color while as a college counselor at Urban Prep Charter Academy. Imah holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago, a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan, and is working on a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
