Dr. Jessica Rothenberg-Aalami is CEO & co-founder of Cell-Ed, which aims to bring language and essential skills within reach of anyone with a mobile phone. Jessica is an impact entrepreneur with over 20 years experience designing and delivering relevant information technologies to global markets. Her on-the-ground experience in over 40 countries stems from her deep commitment to addressing customer needs. Social impact and technology has been her focus since founding her first think+tech+act company, G.E.A.R., in 1998, GlobalCSR in 2002, and the Gobee Group in 2009. An active collaborator and speaker, Jessica is also the author of Technology at the Margins: How IT Meets the Needs of Emerging Markets. She holds a PhD, MA and BA in International Political Economy and Development from University of California Berkeley and University of Oregon and a business degree from Harvard.
