Valeria Rodriguez is a University of Florida graduate, bilingual children's book author and illustrator, Instructional Designer, and an educator passionate about infusing the classroom with creativity, technology, science, and good vibes.

She began teaching while serving as an Agriculture Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, then as a Language instructor in Austin, TX and Los Angeles California. For the last 6 years she has been working as a middle school science teacher in Miami, Florida. Valeria and her students have been working closely with NASA scientists growing, and analyzing different varieties of plant species being considered for growth on the International Space Station. She is also one of 36 teachers from across the US selected to be on Space Center Houston’s Space Educators Expedition (SEEC) crew.

Besides creating out-of-this-world opportunities for her students, she loves to infuse adventure and the outdoors into all aspects of her life—especially with her son, Nico.
