Bruce Shahbaz
Bruce Shahbaz joined The College Board in April 2017 as the Senior Director of Strategic Military Initiatives responsible for helping Service Members, Families, and Veterans clear a path to own their future.
Prior to joining The College Board, Bruce spent almost five years working as a federal inspector general in both the Department of Defense and the Peace Corps. He was the team leader for reports on Wounded Warrior medication management, military suicide prevention data quality, Ebola virus disease response, and the Peace Corps sexual assault risk reduction and response program. The suicide prevention report and the sexual assault report both received awards from the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency.
He enlisted in the Army in 1983, received his commission as an Army Lieutenant in 1986, and served in various locations in the USA, Egypt, and Germany. He retired from the Army in 2006. He has a BS degree in Psychology from Missouri State University and MA degree in Health Services Management from Webster University.
