Sue Cusack is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Lesley STEAM Learning Lab in the Graduate School of Education at Lesley University. Her areas of expertise include making in education and the inclusive use of instructional and assistive technologies, all in service of student-centered learning. She has created a suite of required courses in the Elementary and Middle/High School teacher licensure programs that support equity and access to education. Her Maker Course is also integrated into two graduate certificates in the Science in Education program and a new collaborative program between Lesley’s Graduate School of Education and their College of Art and Design that focuses on Design and the End User Experience. Her work in the Lesley STEAM Learning Lab includes managing a makerspace where she and her Lesley STEAM team provide a new way for Lesley students and community partners to engage in learning and inquiry-based exploration through tinkering and digital making.
