Neha Kumar
Dr. Neha Kumar is an assistant professor at Georgia Tech, researching the intersection of human-computer interaction and design and global development. Trained as a computer scientist, designer and ethnographer, she received her Ph.D. in 2013 from UC-Berkeley and two master's degrees from Stanford University in computer science and learning, design, and technology. She investigates emerging technological practices in underserved contexts to design appropriate interventions for community resilience. Central themes to her work are access, equity, and participation in technological engagements. She helped found the virtual reality startup inspirit, which aims to design and leverage virtual reality and 360-degree video content for improving training and learning activities.
