Beth Jewett is a Co-Creator of Moving Minds. She earned a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University in 2014 with a concentration in Cognitive Development and Problem-Based Learning. Beth began her career as a classroom and language teacher working in the Bronx, Peru, Guatemala, and Chicago. She worked as a Research Associate for the Education for Thinking Lab at Columbia University, Teachers College where she coordinated a three-year study between the Education for Thinking Lab and The Ministry of Education and Office of the President of the Dominican Republic. Beth worked as a research assistant for studies at the Guggenheim, Yale University and the Columbia Medical Center. An English Language Specialist for the United States Department of State, Beth conducted a workshop on Problem Solving in the ESL Classroom with teachers in Cuba in May of 2017. Beth has collaborated in the design of several curriculums including in the arts, PBL, and critical thinking.
