Carl Settles

Carl Settles Jr. is the Founder/Executive Director of E4 Youth, an Austin, TX based non-profit that bridges the gap between underserved creative youth and creative careers. A former science teacher, Mr. Settles has over 20 years of hands on experience in educational publishing, interactive development and advertising managing projects for clients including Whole Foods, Liz Claiborne, Harcourt Achieve, Xerox and others.
Entering its tenth year in Austin, Texas, E4 Youth has led more than 2,500 creative youth through the process of Engagement, Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship. E4 Youth’s award-winning programs have been recognized by industry leaders like South By Southwest and featured in international ad campaigns for brands like Microsoft. E4 Youth alumni have earned scholarships at prestigious design schools and have secured paid employment opportunities working to promote premier brands like Southwest Airlines, Whataburger and YETI.
