Debbie Brockett, who has been a distinguished educator for two decades in the Clark County School District, is CCSD’s first franchise principal of a secondary school.
Ms. Brockett has incorporated an innovative blended learning environment at Las Vegas High School, and she has raised and maintained high performance at the school.
Based upon her outstanding leadership, she was named a franchised principal. Since 2016, she has served at the helm of two schools: Duane D. Keller Middle School and Las Vegas High School.
Ms. Brockett worked as a middle school resource room teacher and spent many years as a master teacher. She later became a special education facilitator and eventually was appointed as an assistant principal.
In 2005, she was appointed the principal at Charles Silvestri Junior High School. Within two years of increasing student achievement, Ms. Brockett was appointed the principal at Las Vegas High School.
