Lynn Shon
Lynn Shon is a 7th grade STEM teacher and Science Instructional Coach at MS 88 in Brooklyn, NY. Lynn believes that STEM teaching and learning is most impactful when students construct meaning through collaborative, place-based, and solutions-oriented experiences that empower them to become advocates of their own communities.
Lynn is a Math for America (MƒA) Master Teacher, TeachStrong Ambassador, Model Teacher for the NYC DOE, Billion Oyster Project Teacher Fellow, and a member of the NYC DOE Science Leadership Team. She has designed curricula and facilitated professional learning focused on climate change and environmental justice in NYC for the Resilience Schools Consortium Project (RiSC), Gowanus Canal Conservancy, Summit Learning, The Earth Institute at Columbia University, MƒA, and at MS 88.
