Beth Carlin

Beth was born in Landstuhl, Germany, and attended a Department of Defense school until her family relocated to Texas in 1995. In 8th grade, Beth knew teaching was her future career, specifically, international teaching. She attended both Blinn College in Brenham and the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree in English and Education with a minor in Asian Studies. Beth met her musicman, Jay Carlin, while working at Starbucks just off the UT campus. They accepted jobs at international schools in Bangkok, Thailand, just before graduating from UT in 2012, and they have been teaching in Bangkok ever since. You’ll often find Beth curled up with a book and her cats if she is not in her classroom.
