Matt Griffith

PhD Student

Matt Griffith is a doctoral student at University of California, Los Angeles in higher education and organizational change, where he works with Dr. Mitchell Chang. His research interests are centered on equity-related internal and external disruption in organizations as a tool for systems-change. Before returning to his studies, Matthew worked for several years in the UC system, both at the systemwide office and UC Berkeley. Most recently he served as the Manager for Strategic Diversity Initiatives at UC Office of the President, where he promoted and advocated for best practices in equity, inclusion, and diversity and built strategic partnerships to increase access and collaboration with the UC. He is a proud alumnus of Detroit Public Schools and the University of Michigan.
