Cynthia Felix

Cynthia Felix is the Senior Director for Bilingual Programs for the New York City Department of Education's (NYCDOE) Division of English Language Learners and Student Support (DELLSS). DELLSS sets policies and implements programs that have an impact on more than 150,000 English Language Learners. Cynthia has dedicated her 27 year career with the NYCDOE to ensuring all students in particular English Language Learners have access to and receive a high quality education. Cynthia strongly believes that a culture of shared leadership and collaboration is one of the foundations of a high quality education and works to cultivate partnerships between community, business and civic leaders and the schools in the communities in which she serves. Cynthia was born and raised in Brooklyn and currently lives in her childhood home with her husband, son and extended family.
