Royce Avery
Dr. Royce Avery has over 30 years of experience in Texas public education. He joined Manor ISD as Superintendent in June 2016. Since then, he has implemented significant programmatic changes at every level of the district. He expanded on the success of Manor New Tech High School and implemented New Tech curriculum at the elementary and middle school levels as well. Manor ISD is now the only district in the state offering K-12 New Tech curriculum. Dr. Avery also started Manor ISD’s first Fine Arts academies at two elementary schools and a middle school and set three elementary schools and a middle school on the path to International Baccalaureate certification. Under his leadership every Manor ISD middle and elementary school has received a new focus, offering families choice within the district. Dr. Avery believes that the key to educational outcomes is great leadership, and he looks forward to more innovative practices in the 2018-19 school year.
