Melia Dunn

Melia Dunn is the founder of Melia Dunn Consulting (MDC). While not known for creativity in naming her business, Melia is known for her skills as a coach and consultant. Tapping into her own journey of white cultural awareness, consciously shedding her savior complex and building ally resilience to combat fragility, MDC is focused on dismantling white privilege and expanding the circle of social justice allies.

Most recently, Melia served as the Director of Education for ADL Arizona where her role included managing anti-bias education programs and school climate improvement frameworks. From 2011-2013 Melia served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Albania where she focused on youth leadership development and was enlisted as a facilitator for culture and communications trainings. Additionally, she spent ten years in non-profit management in both arts and social services organizations. Melia is an active member of the community, serving on the FUEL Scottsdale Committee, Tempe Leadership Advisory Council and the Advisory Board of KYA, a start-up app designed for teen girls and young women, creating social health through social media.

Melia earned her Penn State Bachelor’s degree with an academic focus on Interpersonal Communications and Conflict Management and Resolution.. Her interests include book/movie/podcast clubs, travel, (faux) fitness and all things social justice.
