Luis Duarte serves as President of ZOMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the family office of Ben & Lucy Ana Walton. Luis leads the organization’s efforts to address challenging social issues in Colorado and Chile. Prior to ZOMA, Luis served as investment director at Gary Community Investments, an organization committed to support low-income children in Colorado, where he led the areas of innovation and impact investing. Luis is an entrepreneur who has started a number companies and worked in both corporate and public sectors including serving as a consultant and an engineer for the plastics and construction industries, and leading a 200-staff organization for the public department of health in Mexico. Luis is currently a senior advisor at Colorado Impact Fund and a board member at Mental Health Center of Denver. He is a Colorado Governors Fellow and an Unreasonable Institute Fellow. Luis holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tec de Monterrey and an MBA from Babson College.
