Maia Sharpley
Maia Sharpley is a Partner at Learn Capital. She brings a strategy and operational background to the firm, with over 15 years of experience working as an education executive in private and public sector organizations. Previous to Learn, Maia was the executive vice president of innovation and strategic initiatives for Charter Schools USA. Before that as vice president for strategy and innovation with Kaplan, Inc., she led a broad range of programs and businesses, including managing the company’s edtech portfolio and administering the relationship with the TechStars-Kaplan edtech startup accelerator in New York City. Prior to Kaplan, she served as executive director of operations for the New York City Department of Education, the largest public school system in the U.S., where she worked directly for the Chancellor. She is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT and earned her MBA from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.
