Kelly Glasscock

Kelly Glasscock is the executive director of the Journalism Education Association (JEA) and faculty instructor in the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Kansas State University.
Glasscock started his career working in newsrooms and then as a full-time freelance photojournalist in the Wichita, Kansas area for clients such as the Wichita Eagle, Associated Press and Getty Images. He later became an educator, advising student media at the secondary and post-secondary levels. He earned a B.S. in journalism from the Miller School and an MBA from Baker University.
His work directing JEA, a nonprofit, is to empower a mission to provide support and resources for 21st century high school newsrooms.
As an educator, Glasscock teaches an honors section of mass communication and society at Kansas State University. He has also taught news and feature writing, magazine writing, photojournalism and supervision of school publications.
