Andrea Cahn
Andrea has been with Special Olympics for the past 29 years and has held a variety of leadership roles in communications, program development strategy and government relations. She is currently leading a movement for social inclusion in schools with in her role with Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools in the U.S. Andrea was responsible for the launch 10 years ago of this major partnership with the U.S. Department of Education that promotes social inclusion, reduces bullying and supports student engagement by creating model schools of acceptance through the innovative implementation of Special Olympics Unified Sports, inclusive youth leadership and other school wide education and awareness activities.
Before her directorship with Unified Schools, Andrea’s roles included leading the global communications department, serving as the Special Olympics Organizational Development Director for Government Relations and Urban Strategy, serving as key liaison for the Caribbean.
