For over 30 years, I have been on a mission to transform teaching so learning is authentic, meaningful, and relevant. I am the past owner/founder of My eCoach, past co-founder of Personalize Learning, LLC, and co-author of "Make Learning Personal" and "How to Personalize Learning."

I started my Rethinking Learning podcast in 2017 to take stories and ideas deeper, defining who we are as humans and why we are here on Earth. These stories became the heart of my book, "Define Your Why: Own Your Story So You Can Live and Learn on Purpose." I then updated my presentations with new ideas about empowering learner agency so students and educators reach their full potential. I share why being your advocate and developing transferable human skills prepares you for an AI world and whatever else comes your way now and in the future.

I am the co-host with Nicole Biscotti on the podcast “Real Talk with Barbara and Nicole,” that focuses on authenticity in a polarized society.

My latest book, “Grow Your Why: One Story at a Time,” has 23 personal stories from inspirational educators, entrepreneurs, and innovators about overcoming challenges and living on purpose. These stories become the bridge between hearts, and purpose becomes the driving force behind our shared human experience. As part of my new platform, Why Press Publishing, I provide coaching for aspiring writers, podcasters, and speakers.
