Cliff Archey is a Manager of Education Programs for IBM Corporate Citizenship. In his current role, Cliff manages two IBM strategic philanthropic initiatives, P-TECH and Teacher Advisor. Cliff oversees the strategic direction and implementation of Teacher Advisor with Watson, an advanced computing-powered philanthropic tool for teachers designed to help them improve their planning and instruction. Cliff also helps with the on-the-ground implementation of P-TECH, the IBM-driven grades 9-14 high school model, helping to address the skills gap and provide paths to meaningful careers for an increasing number of students globally each year. In his initial role with IBM Citizenship, Cliff managed the inaugural IBM partnership at Excelsior Academy P-TECH, IBM's third P-TECH partner-school located in Newburgh, NY. He began his career as a High School Special Education teacher in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools. He is attending SXSW Edu to promote Teacher Advisor With Watson, along with several colleagues, his wife, and his two-year old, who you may see aimlessly running around the Playground during the week...
