Kindergartens are becoming more like the rest of school, with children filling out worksheets and working with flash cards. I'll argue for exactly the reverse: the rest of school should be more like kindergarten. I’ll explain why kindergarten-style learning is ideal for today’s society, and discuss strategies to support it, based on the "4Ps of Creative Learning”: Projects, Passion, Peers, Play. I’ll share examples featuring tools (such as Scratch) developed by my group at the MIT Media Lab.
