Fact vs Fiction: Why Media Literacy Matters

“Fake News” and other misinformation campaigns have created a new set of challenges for anyone consuming media. As the next generation of leaders come of age, what can we do to ensure they have the ability to tell fact from fiction and to understand the crucial role that news plays in democracy? What are the tools, skills, and mindsets educators need to effectively help students develop into conscientious news consumers now and in the future?
