Attendees will immerse in the power of spoken word and its ability to connect with and inspire all students, especially those individuals who struggle in more traditional learning environments. This session will explore use of rhythm and rhymes, wordplay, improvisation, and slang as vehicles for students from all backgrounds to tell stories, express thoughts, and emotions, and convey levels of understanding of content and concepts while reaching their full writing potential.
