In New Orleans, 14% of 16-24-year-olds are disconnected from work and education. A 3-year pilot brought together community-based organizations and higher ed institutions to implement a coaching model to reconnect this population to college and careers. Pairing the real experiences of coaches with participant data, this session will share the journey of a youth transitioning from high school/GED programs and the strategies used to promote an ecosystem of higher quality services and youth success.
