Ban the SAT: College Admissions Redesigned

In 2014, Hampshire College conducted a longitudinal research study to assess whether their admissions process was predictive of student success. This led Hampshire to ban the submission of standardized test scores and radically redesign their admissions criteria. Hampshire's experience offers implications concerning issues of access, student success, as well as the broader question of how conventional selective college admissions practices inhibit the goals of education reform and innovation.
