Zoo Design: Engaging a Different Type of Student

Recording: Zoo Design: Engaging a Different Type of Student, Mar 5, 2019

It is the responsibility of design-thinking and makerspace teachers to engage potential future builders, but getting them comfortable and engaged in foreign curriculum can be daunting. I want to present a class built around designing habitats for wild animals in captivity that was designed for and targeted towards students who had not previously engaged in our lab. From curriculum development to tool introduction, I will be discussing all of the necessary steps that led to our success.
