We will examine the educational phenomenon of unintentional exclusionary curriculum, which contributes to a lack of women in STEM. We will discuss the impact the aforementioned has on underrepresentation of women in STEM careers. We will explore strategies and offer suggestions for how to begin to closing the opportunity gap with elementary students and early access to STEM opportunities for girls.
