Developing Engaged Global Citizens of the Future
At a time when local and global communities are more divided than ever, a critical function of liberal arts colleges is to arm students with the skills to build, work, and sustain inclusive and diverse communities. But what does this work look like beyond providing access and including those who have traditionally been unable to participate? How can educators encourage students to advocate for themselves and others, and engage in the democratic process, prepare them to be citizens of the future?
