Moving Stories

Mar 6, 2019

4:00pm – 6:00pm CT

An acclaimed NY dance company travels the world, teaching the tools of choreography to youth who’ve experienced war, poverty, prejudice, and severe trauma as refugees. We follow them to India, where, they work with girls rescued from gender violence; to Romania, with Roma from the slums; to South Korea, with North Korean escapees; and to Iraq, with a dancer fighting to survive. As they prepare to perform in just a week, students and teachers are transformed, unlocking wellsprings of creativity.
