Laila Ferris

Laila Ferris has served as the principal of Mesita Elementary School in El Paso Independent School District for over 20 years. Her breadth of experience within the dual language field is extensive, which includes her role on the Texas Education Agency Bilingual Task Force and its GT Teacher Standards Committee. Currently, she is El Paso Independent School District's Interim Chief of Language and Learning, where she moves forward the district's efforts to graduate more students who are biliterate in English and Spanish.
