Chris Delehanty

Dir of Technology
Del Mar Union School District

Over the last 15 years, Chris has occupied almost every instructional role in a K-12 school, from instructional aide to teacher to assistant principal to principal to district tech director. As Director of Technology, Chris has spent the last three years helping transform learning for students through future planning, an integrated digital citizenship program, and technology integration. Starting with the development of a district-wide technology plan, Chris spearheaded the implementation of a digital citizenship program that led to district certification with Common Sense Media for the 2016-2017 school year, helped to develop a pilot that transformed classroom learning environments from floor to ceiling, and facilitated the pilot, adoption, and district-wide roll out of a learning management system.

Chris is excited about finding ways to support teachers so that all students are able to ignite their inner genius, reimagining the school experience in order to prepare our kids for a rapidly and continually changing technology-integrated world, and opportunities to embed design thinking and computer science into K-12 learning!
