Katie Alaniz
Dr. Katie Alaniz serves as the Director of Online Learning and teaches undergraduate and graduate education courses at Houston Baptist University, through which she is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside students seeking to make a positive impact in schools and society.
As an instructional technologist and elementary teacher of thirteen years in both public and private school settings, Dr. Alaniz has grown increasingly passionate about guiding and supporting fellow educators in meaningfully incorporating enriching and engaging digital tools within their classroom learning environments.
Dr. Alaniz has worked collaboratively to author two books on the power of collegial coaching for technology integration and enhancing today’s classrooms with multimedia. Additionally, she has published a number of academic articles and presented at a variety of educational conferences in the United States and abroad. Her primary research interests include digital learning, collegial coaching, and teacher education.
