Jaye Fenderson is an award-winning filmmaker and the co-founder of Three Frame Media, an impact storytelling production company. She directed and produced the critically acclaimed documentary First Generation, which follows four high school students striving to become the first in their families to attend college. The film’s success led to Go College! Now, an educational initiative with Wells Fargo aimed at breaking down barriers to college access. Her follow-up documentary, Unlikely, investigated America's college dropout crisis and featured leading experts in higher education. A former admissions officer at her alma mater, Fenderson is also the author of Seventeen’s “Guide to Getting into College” and a seasoned contributing writer whose work has appeared in leading publications. As a storyteller, Fenderson has a passion for creating character-driven narratives that elevate underrepresented voices. Her latest directorial project, The Class, will premiere on PBS March 18.
