Michael Tjalve

Michael Tjalve has worked almost two decades in the field of conversational AI focusing primarily on turning disruptive innovation into engaging user experiences. He is passionate about the intersection of language and technology as an interface for enabling new connections. Michael has worked in product strategy and management, research, and education in six different countries and he currently works as a product manager for conversational AI on the Skype team at Microsoft. He is actively engaged in several efforts to develop and promote AI for social good. Michael is assistant professor at University of Washington where he teaches speech technology and innovation. He holds a Master's from Copenhagen and Paris and a Ph.D. in speech technology from University of London (UCL).
