Bryan Dempsey
Originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, Bryan graduated with his Bachelor’s in World History from the University at Albany, NY in 2007. Immediately afterwards, he gained a Masters in Teaching from Union Graduate College in Schenectady, NY. Bryan went on to teach US History and coach Football for the next 5 years. He gained tenure and recognition for being both a successful teacher and coach. In January of 2013, Bryan decided to leave his teaching position and pursue an MBA in International Business at Thunderbird School of Global Management. During his time at Thunderbird, Bryan gained international consulting experience, a global mindset, and the opportunity to study business environments in eight different countries. In July 2014, Bryan was hired into IBM’s Integrated Supply Chain Division as an Asset Management Analyst. His work focused on end-to-end process improvement, organization simplification, and internal consulting. Bryan then joined a startup environment with the IBM Analytics for Education group where he took on multiple roles; product management, business development, sales, and marketing. Today, Bryan is a Global Offering Manager at IBM’s Watson Education group. He leads two offerings for Higher Education focused on bringing cognitive computing solutions, analytics, and iconic user experiences to students, advisors, and administrators at universities around the world.
