Michele Cahill
Cahill has more than thirty years' experience in working in the areas of education reform, youth development, and urban affairs. She is the Chief Education Content & Practice Officer at XQ Institute. She was previously the Distinguished Fellow in Education and Youth Development at the National Center for Civic Innovation. Cahill was also the Vice-President for the National Program at Carnegie Corporation of New York, where she led the philanthropy's strategy to expand educational opportunity through systemic change across K-12, to increase graduation and degree completion by urban and low-income students, and to support expanded pathways to citizenship, civil participation and civic integration for immigrants and disconnected youth. Cahill has supported XQ greatly by providing strategic thinking and leadership on the design and execution of the Super School Challenge, serving as a judge through the rigorous judging process, hosting the XQ Expert Series based on Knowledge Modules in School Redesign, providing guidance to XQ Schools, among other areas of support.
