Sara Boucher
Sara Boucher is a geeky sixth year teacher in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Currently she is cultivating the next crop of super-geeks in her Robotics and Computer Programming classes at Los Lunas Middle School in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
Her value as a nerd extends well beyond the classroom. She organized the very first Edcamp Vegas and also performed professional development trainings on a variety of issues such as; G.A.F.E, designing e-portfolios for UNLV student teachers, Project-Based learning, Coding, and basic computer applications. She also recently earned her certification for Blended and Online Learning through CCSD. She graduated from UNLV with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2011 followed by a master's degree in Educational Technology in 2014 from Touro University. Sara also earned the School District Employee Making a Difference Award from the CCSD School Board in 2014.
