Samantha Marquez

Samantha Marquez has pursued her passion for STEM through her major in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience at Yale University. In addition to forging forward with publications and patents regarding her bioengineering research that she began in middle school (Celloidosome®), which has potential applications in fields such as tissue engineering, bioremediation, and even smart bio-printing. On campus, Samantha also works as a Communication and Consent Educator (CCE) to help promote a more positive and empowering sexual climate for the community. She is a member of Sabrosura, Yale’s Premier Latin Dance Team, which means she takes every opportunity to dance some bachata, merengue, and salsa. Last year, Samantha was named one of Glamour Magazine’s 10 College Women of the Year for her scientific endeavors and spoke alongside leaders such as Chelsea Clinton on a panel for the Clinton Global Initiative University.
