Travis Andrews

With his wife, Travis created Backdown Bully to unite a community of parents, youth and schools to eliminate bullying. Their Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms provide resources and a place to hear/share stories to ignite empowerment & advocacy. Nasir,,a young black girl and 4th grader in Bellevue, had been bullied in school since September, students made racist remarks, calling her “nutella” or “servant”. After months of telling teachers, administrators and the district with inadequate responses, the family posted a video on Facebook to get help for herself and other students who are bullied.
