Rick leads the effort to build the brand reputation and extend the brand reach of Pepperdine University. He works with the president to shape the University's mission and to interpret it for various audiences. He represents Pepperdine in many service and civic organizations in the Los Angeles area.
As Vice President for Public Affairs, he leads an integrated marketing team that develops the University's key communication channels including traditional media, (print, public relations, and paid advertising) and digital media, (web, email, social media, event registration, and e-commerce and mobile media.) As CMO, he is working along side the CIO to develop the marketing module of Pepperdine's CRM initiative.
