Martine Joelle McDonald has worked at the intersection of arts, education and youth development for 10 years. After earning a Bachelors of Arts degree in Peace Studies from Naropa University, Martine served as an AmeriCorps educator with PeaceFirst and taught conflict transformation to K-3rd graders in Los Angeles public schools. A passionate youth advocate, Martine has served on the board of the Center for Education and Economic Equity and mentored with various global youth service learning initiatives including the PeaceJam Foundation and Three Dot Dash. A writer and producer, Martine is deeply committed to bringing life to stories across children’s literature, television and film that fosters compassion and reconciliation across differences.
